Holly Amaya is a director at S+C. Formerly a prize-winning journalist and attorney with nationwide media contacts, Holly specializes in public relations and strategic communications counsel with S+C. Before practicing law, she worked for The Arizona Republic in Phoenix.
Holly’s CV also includes stints at Harper’s Bazaar in New York City and on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., where she worked for former Sen. Richard Lugar.
Holly is very actively involved in the San Diego community. Since 2017, she has served on Equality California’s Board of Advisors. She has served as the PR liaison for the Lawyers Club of San Diego. She also donates considerable pro bono hours providing legal counsel to refugees seeking asylum.
Holly has received numerous awards including the Lawyers Club of San Diego selecting her to receive its prestigious C. Hugh Friedman Award for excellence in a young lawyer in 2014.
Holly attended Indiana University, receiving degrees in English and journalism. She is a cum laude graduate of the Indiana University-Bloomington Maurer School of Law and holds a diploma in American and British Literature from the University of Kent in Canterbury, England.
